Logline: A veteran stuntman, grappling with the fear of heights after a near-fatal fall, must conquer his demons and pull off the most daring stunt of his career to save his estranged daughter's life.
Scene: The jagged peaks of the Himalayas. Wind howls, whipping prayer flags into a frenzy. A precarious rope bridge sways precariously between two sheer cliff faces, a chasm thousands of feet deep yawning below.
Character: REX "RIPCORD" RADCLIFFE, 50s, weathered but wiry, a legend in the stunt world. His face, etched with lines of experience and a recent brush with death, reflects a quiet intensity.
(Opening Scene)
Close up on Rex’s calloused hands, meticulously checking the knots on his climbing harness. A tremor runs through them, barely perceptible. He takes a deep, shaky breath, the thin Himalayan air burning in his lungs. Flashback: A blazing inferno, Rex falling from a collapsing scaffold, the ground rushing up… He snaps back to the present, sweat beading on his forehead.
VOICE (over radio): "Ripcord, you copy?"
REX (into radio, voice strained): "Loud and clear, Control. Ready when you are."
Control’s voice crackles with concern. “Remember the plan, Rex. One shot. No room for error.”
Rex doesn’t reply. He stares at the rope bridge, a monstrous, swaying thread against the vast backdrop of the mountains. His daughter, ANNA, 22, fierce and independent, is being held hostage on a small platform carved into the cliff face on the other side. A ransom demand, a ludicrous stunt, the only way to save her. He has to walk the bridge, carrying a bag containing the ransom money, while a helicopter films him from above – the ultimate high-wire act.

Rex takes the first step onto the bridge. The ropes creak and groan under his weight. Every gust of wind feels like a giant hand trying to shove him into the abyss. The flashback returns, more vivid this time – the scream, the impact, the agonizing pain… He freezes, paralyzed by fear.
VOICE (Anna, faint, from across the chasm): "Dad? Dad, are you there?"
Hearing Anna's voice snaps Rex out of his trance. He sees her, a small figure bound to a post on the distant platform. Her terrified face, a mirror of his own inner turmoil, fuels a surge of adrenaline. He pushes forward, one agonizing step at a time.
(Climax)
Halfway across, the wind intensifies. The bridge swings violently. The ransom bag slips from Rex’s grasp, plummeting into the void. Anna screams. The helicopter banks sharply, its rotor wash further destabilizing the bridge.
Rex is hanging on by a thread, his body screaming in protest. This is it, he thinks. This is where he dies. But then, he remembers Anna's face, her desperate plea. He digs deep, summoning a reserve of strength he didn't know he possessed. Ignoring the roaring wind and the screaming metal, he slowly, painstakingly, pulls himself back onto the bridge.
Reaching the other side, he confronts ANNA's captors – a ruthless gang of mercenaries. A brutal fight ensues. Rex, drawing on decades of stunt fighting experience, takes them down one by one.
(Resolution)
With Anna safe, they stand on the platform, the helicopter hovering nearby, ready to extract them. Rex looks back at the bridge, a symbol of his conquered fear. He’s still terrified of heights, but he has faced that fear, and he has won.
ANNA: “You did it, Dad.”
Rex manages a weak smile. “Yeah, kiddo. I did it.”
(Final Shot)
The helicopter lifts them off the platform, rising above the jagged peaks. Rex looks down at the chasm, no longer with terror, but with a newfound respect. The mountains stand as a testament to his resilience, his elevation from fear to triumph.
