(Opening scene: a meticulously organized kitchen, gleaming stainless steel, a cookbook titled "Murdering Your Hunger" lies open on the counter. A figure in a floral apron hums cheerfully, brandishing a whisk like a conductor's baton. It's Deadpool, sans mask, revealing a scarred but strangely handsome face.)
Deadpool (V.O.): It all started with a casserole. Not just any casserole, mind you. This was the Tuna Surprise Supreme, my pièce de résistance, guaranteed to knock the socks off even the pickiest eater. And believe me, I've cooked for some picky eaters. Cable, for instance. Dude subsists on a diet of nuts, bolts, and existential dread.
(Flashback montage of Deadpool in domestic bliss: ironing Wolverine's yellow spandex, painstakingly arranging chimichangas in the fridge, scrubbing scorch marks off Logan's claws with steel wool.)
Deadpool (V.O.): Things were good. Domestic bliss, even. Sure, Logan tracked mud in occasionally, and his attempts at conversation usually consisted of grunts and the occasional "bub," but we had a routine. I cooked, he grumbled, we watched Golden Girls reruns. I even convinced him to let me braid his hair once. (Shudders) Never again.
(Back to the kitchen. Deadpool adds a mysterious glowing green ingredient to the casserole.)
Deadpool (V.O.): But then I got ambitious. See, I'd stumbled across this weird alien cookbook at a garage sale. Guaranteed to "Spice Up Your Life," it said. Figured, what the heck, right? Little did I know, "spice up" was alien for "induce uncontrollable mutation and a ravenous hunger for human flesh."
(The casserole begins to bubble ominously.)
Deadpool (V.O.): Turns out, that "special ingredient" wasn't oregano. It was some sort of extraterrestrial mutagen. One whiff and Logan went full-on berserker badger. Ripped the kitchen to shreds. Ate the curtains. Tried to eat me. He even developed a third claw. Coming out of his forehead.
(Cut to Deadpool and Wolverine, both covered in casserole, fighting amidst the ruins of the kitchen. Wolverine's forehead claw glints menacingly.)
Wolverine: SNARL! Must... eat... Tuna...Surprise!
Deadpool: Bad Logan! Bad! No more casserole for you!
(The fight spills out onto the streets, causing widespread panic and property damage. The army is called in, but they are no match for a mutant wolverine with a forehead claw and a craving for human flesh. Deadpool tries desperately to reason with him, armed with nothing but an oven mitt and a spatula.)
Deadpool: Logan! Buddy! Remember Golden Girls! Remember Blanche's St. Olaf stories? Think of the cheesecake!
(Wolverine pauses, momentarily distracted. Deadpool sees his chance.)
Deadpool: Now! Drop and give me twenty chimichangas!
(Wolverine, confused but obedient, drops to the ground and begins doing push-ups. Deadpool, sighing with relief, throws a net over him. The army arrives and takes Wolverine away for "observation.")
(Final scene: Deadpool, bandaged and bruised, sits in his now-destroyed kitchen, sipping tea. The alien cookbook lies in the rubble.)
Deadpool (V.O.): So, yeah. The Tuna Surprise Supreme was a bit of a flop. Lesson learned: never trust an alien cookbook. And maybe stick to pre-shredded cheese. Less chance of accidental dismemberment that way. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a kitchen to rebuild. And a very hungry Cable to feed. Anybody got a spare bolt?
(Fade to black.)
